Escorts Kubota Limited reports a 2.2% increase in total tractor sales in June 2025, driven by strong export growth, despite a slight dip in domestic sales. Escorts Kubota Limited has announced a marginal improvement in its tractor sales for June 2025, citing a 2.2% rise as compared to June 2024. The company recorded total sales of 11,498 tractors this June, a step up from last year's sales of 11,245 units. Notably, their Agri Machinery Business experienced robust growth in export numbers, even as domestic sales showed a minor decrease.
Domestic tractor sales reached 10,997 units in June 2025, which is slightly less than the 11,011 units sold in the corresponding month in the previous year. However, export sales surged remarkably, more than doubling to 501 units in June 2025 from 234 units in June 2024—translating to a growth of 114.1%. Escorts Kubota attributed this success to the timely arrival of the southwest monsoon, improved Kharif crop sowing, and increased Minimum Support Prices that bolstered farmer confidence.
Meanwhile, the company's Construction Equipment Business faced challenges, seeing a 27.2% decline in sales to 334 machines in June 2025 from 459 machines in June 2024. The quarterly figures for Q1 FY26 also revealed a drop of 23.7% in construction equipment sales due to slowed project activity during monsoon, project delays, and higher costs from new emission norms. Nevertheless, the company remains optimistic about a rebound in demand post-monsoon, aided by anticipated government spending on infrastructure.
