RamKrishna Forgings is taking a giant leap in the forged wheel manufacturing industry by setting up a new plant in Chennai, as disclosed by a senior company official. The plant is anticipated to deliver 228,000 forged wheels annually.

According to Managing Director Naresh Jalan, this Rs 2,000 crore project will be funded through a mix of debt and equity. The company is optimistic about starting production with 40,000 wheels by FY27, targeting 100,000 by FY28.

Moreover, RamKrishna Forgings and Titagarh Rail Systems Consortium have successfully bagged a contract to manufacture and supply forged wheels for the Indian Railways, marking significant expansion and collaboration ventures for the company.
