Malabar Gold & Diamonds has opened its largest jewellery manufacturing facility in Hyderabad, Telangana, marking a significant milestone in the company's expansion plans. The state-of-the-art unit occupies 3.45 lakh square feet, making it the largest among Malabar's 14 manufacturing units across India and the GCC countries.

The company has invested around Rs 1,000 crore to establish this fully integrated plant, with funding sourced from a combination of internal accruals and bank loans, according to a company representative. It has an impressive annual production capacity, capable of producing over 4.7 tonnes of gold jewellery and 1.8 lakh carats of diamond jewellery, as well as refining 78 tonnes of gold each year.

The facility was inaugurated by Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy alongside Malabar Group Chairman M P Ahammad. Established in 1993, Malabar Gold & Diamonds continues to strengthen its market presence with over 400 showrooms in 13 countries, backed by a total annual production capacity of 40.68 tonnes of gold and 3.61 lakh carats of diamond jewellery.
