The vital Nepal-China Friendship Bridge and numerous hydropower projects were damaged in the July flash floods, prompting officials to engage in discussions on bilateral relations and future Chinese-funded projects. Both nations signed memorandums of understanding (MoUs) to strengthen ties further.
Nepal's Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel emphasized the nation's focus on post-disaster recovery, while expressing gratitude towards China's commitment. MoUs included plans for building medical facilities, feasibility studies, and enhancing human resource development, reflecting China's comprehensive approach to aid.
