A tragic accident on the Pune-Satara Highway left two motorcyclists dead and a vehicle driver critically injured after a truck collided with several vehicles. The incident occurred around 9 AM near Khed Shivapur when the truck lost control and crossed into oncoming traffic.
The deceased were identified as Prathmesh Mahadev Redekar, 32, and Divyam Sunil Nikam, 31, who were pronounced dead at the hospital. A jeep driver, Sanjay Khatpe, suffered severe injuries and remains hospitalized. The truck, bound for Satara, first struck a container vehicle before crashing into other automobiles.
Authorities have booked the truck driver under the pertinent sections of the BNS for his role in the catastrophe. Investigations are underway to determine the precise cause of the deadly collision that disrupted the busy highway traffic.
