ITC Ltd, a diversified conglomerate headquartered in Kolkata, reported a consolidated profit of Rs 5,343.41 crore during the June quarter, an increase from Rs 5,176.99 crore in the year-ago period. This growth is fueled by the robust performance of its cigarette segment, agri-business, and FMCG divisions.
The company's revenue from operations rose to Rs 23,129.35 crore, up from Rs 19,350.08 crore in the same quarter last year. Total income, including other income, reached Rs 23,811.56 crore, marking an 18.86% rise from the previous fiscal year.
Despite the challenging global economic environment influenced by geopolitical tensions and market uncertainty, ITC's diversified portfolio, strategic acquisitions such as Sresta Natural Bioproducts, and evolving market interventions have bolstered its market standing and growth prospects.
