In a shocking incident at Srinagar airport, Mudasir Ahmad Khan, a dedicated SpiceJet employee, was brutally assaulted by Lieutenant Colonel R K Singh after a disagreement over extra cabin baggage charges. Khan, bedridden with a spinal fracture, claims he was merely performing his duties when the army officer turned violent.
Recorded footage reveals the officer attacking several airline workers over the 16 kilograms of luggage, far exceeding the 14 kg limit. The airline has urged authorities for immediate action to prevent recurrence and has provided CCTV evidence depicting the violent outburst.
SpiceJet has taken a firm stance against such violence, writing to the civil aviation ministry, and seeking to place Singh on a no-fly list. Meanwhile, a counter-complaint by the officer has also been lodged, complicating the legal landscape of this unfortunate event.
