The adaptive model achieved the highest overall decision accuracy—91 percent—by selectively intervening only when needed. The always-on approach reduced engagement due to excessive advice, while the never-assist policy failed to support users in challenging contexts. The findings confirm that an adaptive strategy can simultaneously maximize accuracy and sustain engagement.
