In a historic move to strengthen international legislative collaboration, more than 130 Indian legislators, exemplifying the diverse spectrum of 21 political parties, are attending the National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL) Summit in Boston, USA, from August 4-6, 2025. This initiative is orchestrated by the National Legislators' Conference Bharat (NLC Bharat).
The delegation, which marks the largest gathering of Indian legislators at an international conference, aims to enhance cross-border learning and expose attendees to global best practices. The summit will tackle pressing governance topics such as AI, digital democracy, and voter confidence, fostering enriched dialogue among over 2,000 U.S. lawmakers and 7,000 global legislators.
The visit represents NLC Bharat's broader vision of cultivating globally aware legislative leaders, with academic orientations and meetings with Indian-origin leaders included in the itinerary. Such initiatives are set to strengthen the democratic credentials of Bharat and elevate its standing in international legislative innovation.
