On Sunday evening, a Delhi-bound Air India flight encountered technical difficulties at Kochi airport, leading to an aborted take-off. According to Cochin International Airport Ltd, the issue forced the aircraft to return to the bay for maintenance.
Among those on board was Lok Sabha member and Congress leader Hibi Eden. The flight, originally scheduled to depart from Kochi, has been rescheduled to 1 am the following day. Air India has apologized and is working to change the aircraft to ensure passenger safety.
In recent weeks, Air India has faced several technical challenges, including a cancelled Milan-Delhi flight on August 16 and a halted take-off at Delhi airport on July 31. These ongoing issues highlight the pressing need for maintenance and resolution.
