Regional carrier Star Air has taken to the skies with its maiden flight connecting Gondia to Bengaluru, marking a significant boost in regional air connectivity. Launched on Tuesday, this service will pass through Indore, enhancing travel accessibility for passengers.
The Kolhapur-based Sanjay Ghodawat Group, which owns Star Air, will manage the operations using an 82-seater Embraer ERJ-175 aircraft. The flights are organized in a two-class setup, catering to both business and economy travelers.
As the second airline to connect this tribal region, following IndiGo, Star Air's new route opens seamless travel corridors across Maharashtra and nearby Madhya Pradesh. The service is initially scheduled for Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, with potential for expansion based on demand.
