Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is set to attend a Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) summit in Visakhapatnam, which will delve into the landscape of Global Capability Centres (GCCs) on Wednesday, according to CII.
The Finance Minister's participation in the 'Special Ministerial Plenary and Report Back' session will be complemented by the presence of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, who is also slated to attend the event.
The summit seeks to explore emerging trends in the GCC sector, criteria that influence decision-makers when choosing a location, and state policy advancements aimed at attracting GCCs. The gathering aims to unite policymakers from both central and state governments, GCC leaders, and key stakeholders to foster knowledge sharing and devise a strategic roadmap for enhanced engagement in the GCC sector, as articulated by CII.
