The Bihar government transferred approximately Rs 802 crore to the accounts of 16.4 lakh construction workers on the auspicious occasion of Vishwakarma Puja. This initiative is part of an annual scheme aimed at providing financial support to the workers, elevating their annual assistance from Rs 2,500 to Rs 5,000 each.
Coinciding with the 75th birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the state also launched the 'Mukhyamantri Pratigya Yojna' web portal. This program seeks to empower the youth of Bihar by offering internship opportunities in the manufacturing and service sectors, thus enhancing their practical experience and employability.
Addressing the initiative, the Chief Minister emphasized the state's commitment to the welfare of marginalized sections and expressed gratitude for workers' contributions. The state's proactive steps are a testament to the significant progress made across various sectors due to these valuable contributions.
