A driver struck the security gate of the FBI building in Pittsburgh with their car early Wednesday morning. Following the crash, the suspect took an American flag from the car and hurled it over the gate before escaping.

The incident occurred at approximately 2:40 am, prompting a swift response from authorities, including a bomb squad. Fortunately, no FBI personnel were harmed in what has been termed a targeted attack.

Assistant Special Agent Christopher Giordano revealed that the FBI was acquainted with the suspect, who had visited the office weeks prior with an unfounded complaint. A message was also reportedly visible on the car's side window.
