Aena, Spain's prominent airport operator, announced plans to significantly boost its investments, reaching €12.88 billion for the 2027-2031 period. This strategic move aims to improve terminals, catering to the anticipated surge in passenger numbers driven by robust tourism growth.
The company projects that by 2025, Spanish airports will manage up to 320 million passengers, marking a 3.4% increase from last year's record. Despite this optimistic outlook, Aena's shares dipped by 4.7% following the investment announcement.
