Shree Ramkrishna Exports, renowned for its natural diamond business, has ventured into the pharmaceutical industry by launching Kriam Pharma. This strategic expansion aims to deliver essential medicines at accessible prices to 20,000 towns and villages throughout India.
During the launch event in Surat, Kriam Pharma's founder, Tej Dholakia, outlined plans to reach a nationwide distribution by 2030. The venture is projected to create over 3,500 jobs, significantly impacting employment. Additionally, Kriam Pharma is exploring opportunities to export pharmaceuticals to emerging markets with substantial demand for reliable and quality medications.
Kriam Pharma will concentrate on critical medical categories, including anti-diabetic, cardiac care, and dermatological treatments. Initially sourcing products from reputable contract development and manufacturing organizations (CDMOs), the company aims to establish its own manufacturing facilities in a subsequent phase.
