Hero MotoCorp, the largest two-wheeler manufacturer in India, is predicting a prosperous festival season, which the company expects to bolster sales and secure its leadership position in the domestic market. A senior executive expressed optimism that the GST rate cut on two-wheelers will augment demand, compensating for lost sales prior to the tax reform.
The company's Chief Business Officer, Ashutosh Varma, describes the current macroeconomic environment as the most favorable in years, anticipating better industry performance during the Navratri period, supported by a strong booking pipeline. Hero MotoCorp has lined up 12 new products for the festive season, with expectations to outpace industry growth, bolstered further by the company's strategy to expand in core segments and premium offerings.
Despite competition, Hero MotoCorp remains ahead with an impressive sales record, retailing over 54 million units in FY25 and solidifying its standing against rivals. The company eyes further expansion in electric vehicles and premium segments through its partnership with Harley-Davidson, enhancing its product range and sales network.
