Arvind Goenka: Championing Export Growth for Northern India

In a significant development for the export sector, Arvind Goenka, Managing Director of RMG Polyvinyl India, was elected as the regional chairman for the northern region by the apex exporters' body FIEO. His election promises a focus on boosting exports from MSMEs, which are considered the backbone of the Indian economy.

Goenka's strategy involves pushing for value-added exports across various sectors to enhance global competitiveness. He is set on encouraging new and up-and-coming exporters to explore international markets while also addressing operational challenges through structured dialogue with stakeholders and government entities.

To empower exporters, particularly MSMEs in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, Goenka plans to launch capacity-building initiatives that cover compliance, packaging, and international marketing. He also aims to advocate for infrastructure advancements, including the establishment of testing labs and enhanced warehousing capabilities.
