Vande Bharat Sleeper Trains Await Dual Launch
Indian Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced that two Vande Bharat Sleeper trains will launch simultaneously once the second train is ready by October 2025. The launch is speculated to coincide with Bihar's elections. Additionally, several infrastructure projects are slated to improve connectivity across key regions.

The Indian Railway Minister, Ashwini Vaishnaw, revealed plans for the much-anticipated Vande Bharat Sleeper trains. The trains are set to be launched in tandem once the second unit completes its manufacturing by October 15, 2025. This twin launch aims to ensure uninterrupted service continuity.
The minister hinted at a potential route connecting New Delhi and Patna, aligning the launch with upcoming Bihar elections. Vaishnaw also highlighted numerous infrastructure projects, notably an 18-kilometer rail line easing travel between Rajpura and Mohali via Chandigarh, enhancing connectivity in Punjab.
Addressing railway advancements, Vaishnaw mentioned the introduction of a new Vande Bharat train between New Delhi and Firozpur Cantonment. With several completed and ongoing projects aimed at upgrading railways, the minister emphasized continued momentum in expanding India's rail network.
