AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi is gearing up to kickstart the Bihar Assembly elections campaign with the 'Seemanchal Nyay Yatra,' scheduled from September 24 to 27. The campaign will traverse the Seemanchal region, marking a significant political push as Owaisi holds roadshows and meetings in multiple Assembly constituencies.

In a strategic move, the Hyderabad MP is set to launch the yatra from Kishanganj, signaling a mission to galvanize people towards the area's development. Owaisi has long emphasized the area's developmental slack, having put forth a private members' bill in Lok Sabha urging the establishment of a 'Seemanchal Region Development Council' under Article 371 of the Constitution.

AIMIM's previous electoral ventures in the region yielded five seats out of 25 contested in 2020. For the impending 2025 elections, the party plans to ramp up its contesting seats with potential candidates, including influential political leaders, expressing intentions to run under the AIMIM banner, signaling an expansion of its electoral footprint.
