The 2025-26 tourism season in Goa launched with the arrival of a charter flight from Russia at Manohar International Airport in North Goa. Reflecting Goa's allure as a premier destination, the state tourism department greeted visitors with a traditional welcome.
Officials disclosed the addition of three weekly flights from Novosibirsk, enhancing services alongside routes from Yekaterinburg and Moscow. This expansion will bring Aeroflot's operations to a total of nine weekly flights, underlining the rising demand for Goa among Russian travelers.
State Tourism Minister Rohan Khaunte emphasized Goa's readiness to receive guests with improved safety and infrastructure, broadening efforts to offer immersive cultural experiences. The tourism boom is projected to bolster Goa's economy, highlighting its reliance on tourism revenues and employment.
