Maruti Suzuki India, the country's leading car manufacturer, reported a notable 26% increase in production for September, according to a regulatory filing. This surge comes as the automaker ramps up vehicle dispatches to address growing market demand.
In September, Maruti Suzuki rolled out 2,01,915 units from its production facilities nationwide, a significant rise from 1,59,743 units during the same period last year. The production of compact models such as Baleno, Celerio, Dzire, and Swift saw a remarkable jump to 93,301 units, compared to 68,413 units in the previous year.
Meanwhile, utility vehicles, including Brezza, Ertiga, and Fronx, witnessed a 27% year-on-year growth, marking a total of 79,496 units.
