A tragic accident unfolded as a private bus on its way from Ahmedabad to Madhya Pradesh overturned after hitting a divider in Rajasthan's Kota. The mishap resulted in the death of three passengers and left around 20 others injured, as per police reports on Thursday.
The vehicle's front glass shattered during the overturn, tragically hurling three victims onto the road. They were further struck by a speeding truck. Local authorities, including Kota City SP Tejaswini Gautam and Fire Officer Rakesh Vyas, arrived at the scene promptly to lead a rescue operation that lasted over two hours.
Preliminary investigations hint that the driver might have lost control due to cattle crossing the road. The accident occurred near the Nayagaon overbridge under RK Puram police jurisdiction. Most passengers were from Madhya Pradesh's Gwalior and Bhind areas, and the injured have been admitted to New Medical College Hospital.
