In a landmark collaboration, Hyundai Motor Company and TVS Motor Company have inked a joint development agreement to push forward the development and marketing of electric three-wheeler solutions tailored for India's last-mile mobility requirements.
Hyundai will spearhead the design and co-development of the electric three-wheeler (E3W), capitalizing on its research and development capacities and cutting-edge mobility technologies. Meanwhile, TVS Motor will focus on product co-development, tapping into its established electric platform, engineering skills, and profound local market insight.
The joint venture was solidified after the E3W concept's successful unveiling at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. The agreement emphasizes localizing component manufacturing to enhance India's automotive supply chain, cut costs, and boost employment, underlining a commitment to meet demand within and beyond Indian borders.
