Fatal Collision on Matour–Shimla Highway: Tragic Milk Pickup Incident

A fatal accident on the Matour–Shimla highway claimed one life and injured two others as two milk delivery pickup trucks collided near Saur, Thamani. The incident, confirmed by local police on Wednesday, occurred late Tuesday night.

Rohit, accompanied by Shaurya and Lavesh Patial, sons of Mehar Chand, were en route from Dhanwin village to collect milk supplies in Bamta when the accident transpired. Lavesh was driving the pickup truck and attempted to overtake another vehicle. An oncoming truck forced him to swerve, resulting in a collision.

Rohit succumbed to his injuries at the Medical College in Hamirpur, where all three were rushed for treatment by local residents. Authorities have registered a formal complaint and begun an investigation into the tragic event.
