A fatal vehicular accident near Assam Chauraha has claimed the lives of two drivers and left one person critically injured. The collision, involving three vehicles, occurred on the Bahraich bypass, igniting a substantial fire in the aftermath.
The accident involved a Punjab-registered truck, a Haryana-registered trailer, and a Lucknow-registered pickup. Both drivers were caught in their cabins and perished in the blaze, according to police reports. The bodies required nearly three hours to extricate due to the tangled wreckage.
The injured helper, who identified one of the deceased as Jeetlal Yadav, is currently receiving medical attention. The police are attempting to ascertain the identity of the other driver and have commenced an investigation. The Lucknow vehicle was found empty, and witnesses claim its passengers fled the scene post-collision.
