In a tragic incident, a cruise boat with 29 passengers overturned in the Bargi dam reservoir following a sudden storm in Jabalpur district on Thursday. Four people lost their lives, 15 passengers were rescued, while ten remain missing as search operations are conducted by State Disaster Response Force and rescue teams.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav ensured ongoing aid to impacted families and emphasized the state's commitment to the rescue efforts. Public Works and Tourism Ministers along with local officials have been directed to the accident scene to supervise operations.
Congress Leader of Opposition Umang Singhar extended condolence to the victims' families and urged the government to provide adequate compensation. The local administration continues with the extensive search and rescue mission to trace the missing tourists.
