Mahindra's April Surge: A Promising Start to FY 2026-27
Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd recorded a 14% increase in vehicle sales in April, with a notable rise in both passenger and commercial vehicles. The company also saw a 21% boost in tractor sales despite the absence of a major festive period. Exports of tractors rose by 30%.
Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd announced a 14% year-on-year increase in total vehicle sales, delivering 94,627 units in April. The surge includes 56,331 domestic passenger vehicles and 23,427 commercial vehicles.
This marks a positive beginning to the fiscal year 2026-27, according to Nalinikanth Gollagunta, CEO of M&M's Automotive Division. Tractor sales soared by 21%, reaching 48,411 units domestically, despite missing the usual sales boost from Chaitra Navratri.
According to Veejay Nakra, President of the Farm Equipment Business, this period outperformed last year with a 30% increase in tractor exports, totaling 2,007 units sold internationally.
