According to police reports, the accident unfolded when the speeding truck rammed from behind, significantly damaging the SUV. A total of eight people were inside the vehicle, and while five are severely injured, three others sustained only minor injuries. The victims were promptly referred to a trauma center in Lucknow for medical attention.
Efforts are underway to locate the truck driver involved in the accident, who fled the scene. The police have seized the truck for investigation, and the local sub-divisional magistrate has visited the hospital to check on the injured occupants.
