  • Country:
  • India

In response to the ongoing conflict in West Asia, JD(S) patriarch H D Deve Gowda has endorsed Prime Minister Narendra Modi's call for fuel conservation and foreign exchange saving, calling it a timely intervention amid global economic disturbances.

During a rally in Telangana, Modi outlined various strategies to minimize fuel consumption, including the promotion of carpooling, electric vehicle use, and increased dependence on metro and railway services. These measures are expected to bolster the Indian economy during these uncertain times.

Modi also recommends postponing gold purchases and limiting foreign travel for one year to further shield the nation from the economic fallout of the conflict. This strategic move aims not only at conserving foreign exchange but also at preparing India to become more resilient to international turmoil.
