An Etihad Airways flight heading to Abu Dhabi was forced to abort its takeoff after a fire was detected on its left wing. According to airport officials, the incident occurred on Tuesday when pilots noticed the fire as the aircraft was preparing to depart.
The quick response by airport fire services ensured that the blaze was rapidly extinguished, preventing any injuries and ensuring the safety of all 280 passengers on board. All passengers were safely evacuated from the plane, with no injuries reported.
The flight was subsequently cancelled. Etihad Airways has yet to provide a comment on the event at the time of reporting.
