Uber and Adani Group Set to Revolutionize Tech Landscape with First Data Center in India
Uber partners with Adani Group to launch its premier data center in India, enhancing its technological presence. This collaboration marks India's rise as an innovation hub for Uber. The development aligns with Adani's existing projects, including an AI-driven data center initiative with Google in Andhra Pradesh.
In a strategic move to fortify its technological stronghold in India, ride-hailing giant Uber has announced a collaboration with the Adani Group to establish its inaugural data center in the country. The landmark development was unveiled by Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi via social media following discussions with Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani in Ahmedabad.
Khosrowshahi expressed enthusiasm about the venture, emphasising India's quick emergence as a pivotal innovation hub for Uber's global operations. The data center, slated to commence later this year, is set to play a crucial role in scaling Uber's technology solutions worldwide, with a significant portion initiated from India.
This announcement dovetails with Adani Enterprises' prior collaboration with Google, marking their joint efforts to construct India's largest AI data center campus in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. The AI hub, supported by green energy and subsea cable connectivity, propels India's AI infrastructure, strengthening the power grid while advancing sustainable energy initiatives.
