Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Mizoram, and Delhi have been named as 'exemplars' in the logistics performance ranking for 2025, according to India's LEADS report. The rankings highlight India's focus on efficient logistical services, crucial for export promotion and economic growth.
The recently released LEADS 2025 report by the Commerce and Industry Ministry has spotlighted Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Mizoram, and Delhi as 'exemplars' for their outstanding logistics performance. These states and Union Territories have excelled in policy-making, infrastructure, service delivery, and regulatory aspects, setting a benchmark for others.
Minister Piyush Goyal unveiled the report, highlighting its role as a crucial reform tool. States like Gujarat, Kerala, and Maharashtra have been labeled 'high performers', indicating robust and consistent performance across the board. Meanwhile, 18 states have been categorized as 'accelerators', showcasing clear reform momentum.
The LEADS 2025 report expands beyond the previous model to offer a more nuanced performance grading, emphasizing data-driven logistics reforms. The new categorization facilitates targeted reform planning and encourages strong peer learning among states at varying stages of logistics development, aligning with the government's PM GatiShakti National Master Plan and National Logistics Policy.
