The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) is set to roll out a hydrogen-powered shuttle bus service in the Central Vista area, starting Friday, as part of an initiative to boost public transport use among government employees and support the Centre's energy-saving measures.

This new service, developed in collaboration with Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), will facilitate last-mile connectivity between the Central Secretariat and Seva Teerth metro stations and several key government offices within the Central Vista region. Two buses, each accommodating 35 passengers, are equipped with GPS tracking and CCTV for security and safety.

The shuttle service will operate from Monday to Friday during peak working hours, with buses departing every 30 minutes in clockwise and anti-clockwise directions. Passengers can pay fares using the National Common Mobility Card, UPI, or cash. DMRC will oversee operations while IOCL will manage drivers and hydrogen fuel supply. The initiative marks a significant step towards sustainable public transport in Delhi.
