In a tragic accident on Friday morning, a van transporting silver was involved in a fatal collision on a highway in Maharashtra's Palghar district. Two individuals were killed and one injured in the crash, which occurred on the Charoti Bridge of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad National Highway.

The accident happened around 6.20 am when the van's driver lost control, resulting in the vehicle crashing into the divider, crossing over to the opposite side, and colliding with a trailer. The van, operated by Mumbai-based Nakoda Bullion and managed by Modison Ltd, was carrying 600 kg of silver.

Palghar Superintendent of Police Yatish Deshmukh reported that the van's occupants died on the spot, while the injured person is receiving treatment at a hospital. An investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the crash, as authorities recovered the silver from the wreckage.
