Air India's Fleet Transformation Takes Flight with New Boeing 787-9

Air India has marked another milestone in its fleet expansion by receiving a custom-tailored Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. The aircraft, which landed in Delhi on Friday, showcases the carrier's ongoing transformation efforts post-privatization, aiming to enhance its service through fleet modernization.

The newly acquired aircraft, registered as VT-AWB, arrived non-stop from Charleston, USA. In a statement, Air India highlighted its new livery and detailed how this purchase fits into its wider strategy to provide a premium experience, particularly on long-haul international routes.

This addition brings Air India's total to thirty-three Dreamliners, including 26 legacy models and seven newer 787-9 variants. The acquisition exemplifies the airline's commitment to growth and improvement as it competes in the global aviation market.
