A tragic accident claimed the lives of five people, including a couple, when a speeding car collided with a container truck on the Purvanchal Expressway near the Kandharapur area on Saturday.
Authorities reported that the incident occurred near Sierha village, where the impact was so devastating that the top portion of the car was torn off. Local police, relief teams from the Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority, and Senior Superintendent of Traffic led the on-site investigation and rescue efforts.
The deceased, identified as residents of Haryana, were extricated from the wreckage by the emergency response teams and have been sent for post-mortem examination.
