GE Aerospace has announced a significant investment of Rs 100 crore in its manufacturing facility in Pune, India. This latest funding aims to bolster the company's manufacturing capacity and reaffirm its commitment to Indian operations by introducing advanced technologies and improving infrastructure.

The new investment builds on the Rs 410 crore allocated over the past two years, raising the total investment in the Pune facility to over Rs 510 crore in three years. Resources have been directed towards implementing sophisticated welding technologies, advanced inspection equipment, and other precision tools to enhance production capabilities, especially for engine programs like GE90, GEnx, GE9X, and LEAP.

The Pune facility plays a pivotal role in GE Aerospace's global supply chain, working alongside more than 300 local suppliers. This collaboration strengthens India's contribution to worldwide aerospace operations. Workforce development remains a priority, with a thriving apprenticeship program training more than 500 apprentices annually, cementing the plant's reputation as a high-capability aerospace hub.
