Forging Future Frontiers: Rajnath Singh's Strategic Tour of Vietnam and South Korea

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday began a critical four-day tour of Vietnam and South Korea aimed at bolstering strategic defence cooperation through initiatives such as joint military hardware production.

Singh's visit to Hanoi, preceding discussions in South Korea, comes days after India's ties with Vietnam were elevated to a comprehensive strategic partnership. Talks are geared towards strengthening defence industrial partnerships and addressing the ongoing tensions in the South China Sea.

In South Korea, Singh's agenda includes reviewing bilateral defence cooperation with National Defence Minister Ahn Gyu-back and exploring new avenues for collaboration in the Indo-Pacific region, aligning India's 'Act East Policy' with Korea's regional strategy.
