Lauritz Knudsen Electrical and Automation, a Schneider Electric subsidiary, anticipates Eastern India's growth trajectory surpassing the national average, driven by significant infrastructure expenditure from West Bengal's new government, according to key company officials.
Speaking to PTI, COO Naresh Kumar highlighted the untapped potential in the region's infrastructure and core industries, aligning with the anticipated increase in government spending. Furthermore, Kumar pointed to global energy market disruptions as catalysts for electrification opportunities, applicable to numerous industrial processes traditionally dependent on gas and fossil fuels.
Lauritz Knudsen operates a 750-strong R&D team focused on industrial automation and energy management, aiming to harness its expansive distribution network across smaller market settings to deliver innovative solutions. During a landmark technology showcase in Kolkata, the company launched over ten new products, spanning sectors like switchgear and EV charging infrastructure, and introduced enConnect, a retrofit-compatible home automation system.
