Motegi, visiting New Delhi for a Quad meeting, joined Jaishankar in emphasizing the strategic importance of their bilateral relations, especially as both countries face disrupted energy supply chains.

The dialogue also covered economic security, trade, and regional stability, as the Quad seeks to enhance a free, open Indo-Pacific, with India hosting the meeting as the current coalition chair.
