Tragic Accident in Rishikesh: Overturned Truck Claims Two Lives

A tragic incident unfolded in Rishikesh where a dumper truck overturned, causing the death of its driver and a woman residing in a nearby hut. The truck veered off course near Bhadrakali crossroads, falling into a field 20 meters below.

The crash caused the displacement of concrete dividers, fatally injuring a woman inside a roadside hut. An SDRF team retrieved her from the rubble, but she was declared deceased at a hospital. The driver, identified as Farukh from Haridwar, succumbed to his injuries at the scene despite efforts by locals to save him.
