On a recent occasion, a fire broke out in the D-5 coach of train number 17642 Narkhed-Kachiguda Express at Hingoli station, operating under the Nanded Division. Quick response by the Railway Protection Force and staff using fire extinguishers averted a major catastrophe. The presence of burnt 'beedi' pieces found in a separate incident suggests passenger negligence could also contribute. Authorities urge vigilance and report any suspicious actions to railway authorities immediately.
