The Uttar Pradesh Primary Teachers' Association has raised allegations against the Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Jalaun, claiming mental harassment of educators involved in census activities. They accused the SDM, Rinkoo Singh Rahi, of making derogatory remarks and imposing excessive pressure on the teachers.
According to Vidyasagar Mishra, the district president, these teachers, from the Basic Education Department, are burdened with multiple duties including significant assignments during the summer despite the lack of essential survey resources. Claims of mistreatment, such as being labeled 'work shirkers' on social media and salary withholding threats, have reportedly led to illness among some teachers.
The association is seeking a transparent inquiry, citing growing frustration among educators, and has demanded appropriate action from District Magistrate Rajesh Kumar Pandey, who assured them of addressing the issues. Attempts to contact the SDM for comments were unsuccessful.
