Jamia Millia Islamia has taken a major step forward in its mission to become a hub of technological and educational excellence by securing government approvals for a range of innovative projects. Vice Chancellor Mazhar Asif and Registrar Md Mahtab Alam Rizvi met with Union Minister Kiren Rijiju to secure these key approvals.

The ambitious projects, greenlit under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Vikas Karyakram, aim to cement the university's position at the forefront of research in emerging technologies. Newly approved infrastructures include advanced labs for 5G technologies, artificial intelligence, electric vehicles, digital gaming, and more. A cybersecurity training academy also forms part of the impressive plans.

In addition to technological advancements, infrastructure projects such as a new 100-bed girls' hostel and a modern library have been approved. The initiatives aim to boost Jamia's role in the educational landscape by providing innovative learning tools, ensuring access to skills, and promoting inclusive education for all, particularly underprivileged communities.
