Delhi University Allocations: Over 80,000 Seats Accepted in First Round
Delhi University has announced that over 80,000 candidates have accepted undergraduate seats in the first round of seat allocation. The allocations span various categories, and a total of 93,166 seats were offered. Internal movements and reallocations are expected as the academic session begins on August 1.

Delhi University has reported a significant milestone in its undergraduate admissions process, with more than 80,000 candidates accepting their allocated seats in the inaugural round of seat allocation. According to data released by the university, 80,015 candidates have confirmed their seats through the Common Seat Allocation System-Undergraduate (CSAS-UG) portal as of July 21.
The comprehensive seat allocation covers an array of categories including Unreserved, Other Backward Classes, Economically Weaker Section, and various minority and special categories. This year, 93,166 allocations were made against 71,624 available seats, highlighting the expected internal movement and reallocations in upcoming rounds.
The university has implemented a transparent system wherein candidates can view the minimum allocation scores and ranks for each program on their dashboards. Subsequent rounds of allocation and performance-based programme decisions are anticipated as the academic year commences on August 1.
