Rajasthan Minister Advocates 'Made in India' Products, Faces Criticism

Rajasthan Minister Madan Dilawar has declared that departments under his supervision will exclusively use Indian-made products, restricting the procurement of foreign goods. This directive aims to bolster the local economy and patriotism.

Exceptions will require ministerial approval, and unauthorized foreign purchases will result in personal cost recoveries from officials, said Dilawar. Additionally, he's encouraging women to purchase locally-made rakhis for Raksha Bandhan.

However, Congress has criticized the decision, with state president Govind Singh Dotasra labeling it irrational and a hindrance to education system modernization and children's futures. He called for the Chief Minister's intervention.
