Nagaland Teachers Demand Justice: Verdict Implementation Ultimatum

In a decisive move, the Nagaland RMSA 2016 Batch Teachers Association (NRMSATA-2016) has issued an ultimatum to the government, demanding the enforcement of a Supreme Court judgment regarding their salary scales and pending payments.

The association highlighted the inequality faced by 2016 batch teachers, who were unfairly denied regular scale pay as granted to earlier Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan batches. With the government's continued silence, teachers warned of a pen-down strike set for August 26 if their demands were not fulfilled by August 25.

Citing the government's failure to comply with court orders dating back to March 2022, the teachers emphasized the urgent need for intervention to uphold the court's directive, respect teachers' rights, and avoid contempt of court.
