Scandal in Gurukul: Child Abuse Outcry in Rajasthan

An alleged case of child abuse has emerged from a gurukul in Rajasthan's Barmer district, where a warden reportedly used a hot iron rod on children as punishment for bed-wetting.

The incident at the Harpaliya village institution led to public anger once a video showing the children's burns circulated widely, prompting police to detain the accused warden.

Officials, including Deputy SP Jeevanlal Khatri and Block Education Officer Prakash Chand Vishnoi, are now pursuing a thorough investigation into the allegations, with locals demanding stringent action and possibly closing the gurukul.
