Nineteen sexual harassment complaints have surfaced in colleges and universities across the state, revealed Higher Education Minister Suryabanshi Suraj to the Assembly on Friday.

Filed by female students in the last year, these complaints span government-funded and private institutions. Two cases each emerged from Utkal University and RD Women's University.

In response to these allegations, authorities have taken several actions, including transfers, suspensions, and even terminations. Additionally, FIRs have been lodged in some cases to escalate legal proceedings.
